We are seeking a thoughtful, well rounded Senior Property Broker to join our growing team. This position primarily acts as a lead broker for clients' large/complex property insurance programs.
This role is hybrid our office is located in New York.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, design, placement, and servicing of clients' large/complex property risks.
  • Work with clients and colleagues in the preparation of risk exposures and submission to markets.
  • Prepare renewal budget estimates.
  • Coordinate renewal strategy meetings, underwriter meetings, and proposal meetings with clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding market conditions and provide periodic marketing updates.
  • Maintain a capacity tracker to provide clients with periodic updates of renewal placement status.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of insurance experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent time management skills and a passion for client responsiveness/sense of urgency is critical.
  • Must possess working knowledge of property, equipment breakdown, and terrorism coverage, strong written and verbal communications skills, and strong technology skills including Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Familiarity with catastrophe modeling output and usage for negotiations and placement of property programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with the client and its internal stakeholders as well as other product line team members, as well as the underwriting community
  • Occasional travel to clients and carriers.
  • Broker's License.

The national average salary for this role is $150 000 to $175 000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
