Oversees and works to ensure the accuracy and timely completion of tasks related to managing Corporate Banking portfolios. Assists Corporate Banking Manager(s) and Senior Corporate Bankers with managing larger, more complex portfolios. Coordinates communication, corresponds and/or meets with Corporate Banking clients as necessary and monitors various special handling requirements for Corporate Banking accounts. Monitors and reports on expiring lines of credit/maturing credits and manages overdrafts of larger accounts. As subject matter expert, acts as an advisor to branches and other departments in regard to Corporate Banking loan questions and issues.


Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Assists Corporate Banking Manager(s) and Senior Corporate Bankers in managing larger, more complex portfolios.

2. Coordinates communication, corresponds and/or meets with large Corporate Banking clients as necessary and monitors various special handling requirements for Corporate Banking accounts.

3. Monitors and reports on expiring lines of credit and maturing credits.

4. Preparation, distribution and monitoring of monthly portfolio reporting.

5. Oversees, provides guidance and support to staff for tasks related to managing portfolios such as:
a. Term negotiations, conditions and covenants.
b. Collection of all required financial information and reporting collection activity.
c. Reviewing and analyzing financial information provided by clients and prospects to determine overall financial condition and capacity to repay.
d. Responding to credit questions and making contact with the client when necessary.
e. Working with Credit to make sure Corporate Banking credit lines are renewed in a timely manner.

6. Monitors stock and pledged funds on larger accounts/clients and works to ensure compliance.

7. Assists in the opening of deposit accounts through the coordination of efforts with the Branches for larger clients.

8. As subject matter expert, acts as an advisor to branches and other departments in regard to Corporate Banking loan questions and issues.

9. Oversees the collection of items requested by Audit and the follow-up on Audit Findings.

10. Represents Corporate Banking in various meetings, on various committees, and within the community.

11. Identifies cross-selling/up-selling opportunities via contact with clients and the community-at-large by participating in various community affairs, civic and charitable organizations.

12. Assists and provides back up to Corporate Banking Manager(s) as assigned and needed including budget preparation as well as returning phone calls, emails, and providing direct client support.

13. Responsible for tracking and testing covenants on associated portfolio.

14. Preparation and submission of loan modifications, and assisting with the loan documentation process associated with any loan amendments.

15. Submission and tracking of Annual Credit Reviews.

16. Responsible for reviewing Credit Packages against the term sheet and the Loan Agreement against the approval document to eliminate errors and post-approval modifications.

17. Preparation of Criticized Asset Reports to be presented on non-pass credits within the portfolio.

 



Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications

1. Minimum of seven (7) years related experience with prior credit analysis required.

2. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required.

3. Excellent MS Word and Excel skills, Customer Service and communication skills, ability to lead a team and to prioritize work effectively are all required.

4. Proficient knowledge of required financial information and loan structure are required.

5. Occasional travel and a valid drivers' license is required.

6. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
