To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Buyer located in Columbia, SC.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer will be responsible to coordinate activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, delivery, and quality expectations, and conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
  • Plan, place, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders based on production requirements, MRP output, shortage lists, and open PO reviews.
  • Monitor inventory levels and material flow through the production cycle to ensure continuity of supply while preventing overstock and obsolescence.
  • Track shipments and logistics, coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses, resolve discrepancies, and handle claims, credits, and debits.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and metrics; approve invoices, ensure data privacy compliance, and support audits and documentation needs.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience preferably in the Power Distribution Industry.
  • Working usage of Word, Excel and Power Point, English language knowledge, data entry, ten-key, spreadsheet (PC), ERP software.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate business, technical, and regulatory information through clear written and verbal communication.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to perform mathematical analysis and solve problems involving multiple variables.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions using sound judgment and effectively present information to groups.
