We are seeking a Director, Business Development in our Power Business who will be Responsible for establishing Flex Power as the lead product source for all opportunities we align with per our roadmap and business objectives.  Primary goal is to establish long term positions for Flex Power at the targeted markets.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Use knowledge of products and core capabilities to gain alignment with key active and targeted customers.
  • Provide commercial and technical inputs to Flex Power product development towards gaining advanced positioning with key customers.
  • Working with the Technical BDM to secure the customers power roadmap needs.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with customer procurement, product and business development teams.
  • Achieve early vendor participation in new RFIs at key customers.
  • Close New Business at key customers; meet, exceed new business revenue booking goals.
  • Establish MSA and SOW agreements for the new business to ensure clear understanding of business plans with customer and Flex.
  • Manage customer new product plans with Flex Power factory readiness for both the early drive on LLT materials and factory line set-up for ramp readiness.
  • Provide forecasts for all active and new projects and assist in bridging any questions.  Get customer collaboration on all efforts to ensure timely and on-going strong relations.
  • Analyze and understand customers' business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex resources where mutually beneficial. 
  • Define business priorities through a broad and far vision of market and technology needs, to include initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Leadership and the Finance Department to control budgets within the department.

The skills we are looking to add to our team

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Business.
  • Typically requires 7 years of progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience.
  • Understanding and Business Development experience of Power Electronics
  • Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques.
  • Understanding of key financial metrics and capability to read P&L, balance sheets, ROI indicators, taking actions to meet customers' needs and Flex targets.
  • Ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives, and key clients.
  • Ability to Travel 30% of the time to customers and Power sites. (domestic and interational)
