To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Failure Analysis Engineer located in Salt Lake City, UT.

Reporting to the manager the potential candidate would be in responsible and participating for the root cause failure analysis work .

What a typical day looks like:

  • Directs and coordinate the strategies of debug the fail product of the test process.
  • Defines conditions and procedures under which the technicians are to be conducted and Indicators and phases of Debug Process.
  • Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing and troubleshooting problems such as failures of product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, Failure Analysis Reports, new solutions, obsolete components data interpretation or coding issues.
  • Evaluates and interprets Failure's data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
  • Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
  • Trains and instructs floor support, debug technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, failures solutions as well as proper problem-solving techniques.
  • Resolves test yield problems by performing examination of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
  • Yield trend and pareto analysis to identify epidemic failures that required deeper analysis
  • Develop and monitoring the efficacy and efficiency metrics to improve diagnostic process
  • Provide technical documentation and tools for diagnostic purpose

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical  Engineering or similar is required. Or equivalent experience and training.
  • 4+ years of experience  in test or Failure analysis engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
  • Excellent communication skills – direct & unassuming, with the ability to quickly assess complex issues and discern the key messages.
  • Requires experience with Linux OS and big data is nice to have
