We are seeking an experienced Production Support Engineering Manager to join our team. The Production Support Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production support activities, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and applications, and managing a team of production support engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background (maintenance), excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing production support teams.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Manage and lead a team of production support engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Development and implementation of technician training
  • Oversee the day-to-day production support activities, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, problems, and service requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure effective communication and coordination of support activities.
  • Develop and implement best practices, processes, and procedures for production support, including incident management, problem management, and change management.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing proactive measures to enhance system stability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment of new releases and updates, minimizing downtime and impact on production systems.
  • Coordination and scheduling of periodic maintenance on equipment.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and driving continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance production support processes and tools.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
  • 8-10 years of experience, preferably in a regulated industry
  • 3 years experience managing production support teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical background, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Lean or Kaizen experience a plus
