Summary:
The “Senior Engineer ” will be based in chennai , reporting to Manager
What a typical day looks like:
- Proven experience as a Server Administrator or similar role for Windows / Linux based Servers.
- Configuration of servers, operating systems administration, hardening, load balancers, firewall
- including but not limited to management of users, processes, resource contention, preventive
- maintenance and management of updates & patches to ensure that the system is properly updated
- Re-installation in the event of system crash/failures
- Periodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing and implementing
- rectification measures
- Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for maintenance of the
- infrastructure
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Expert knowledge in Veritas NetBackup & Veeam backup solutions
- Configuration, monitoring, administration, and maintenance of backup environment including Backup servers, backup storage, VTL, network configuration and clients
- Configuration of backup solution on requested servers
- Performing standard and test restores of requested files, folders, databases, and virtual machines
- Upgrade/ patching of systems with new releases and models time to time.
- Maintain cloud/ On premises infrastructure, application, and database backup.
- Configure and Maintain Server scaling and High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Create and update documentation; actively build teams knowledge base
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- LDAP/ AD/ GPO Management
- DNS, DHCP Management
- SAN, NAS Management
- Preferred Certification: MCSE
- Total Experience: 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Microsoft Windows Server, Ubuntu & VMware
- High knowledge of Backup, Storage, and server areas
