Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Manager - Corporate & Business Strategy in Chennai/ Pune, India.

As part of CS Business Valuation & CI team, within Global Corporate Strategy, candidate performs valuation, market sizing leveraging corporate finance metrics, volume planning and projection models and enterprise multiples for businesses, competitors, industry segments/sub-segments, niche entities/untapped verticals. As a professional in this team, you will help internal and external stakeholders with deep expertise on competitor/industry benchmarking, evaluation and target assessment/due diligence on mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions; financial reporting and projections; strategic planning; and portfolio valuations and addressing organizational value optimization.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Support in providing financial data and analysis leveraging specialized finance, accounting, corporate finance (CF) concepts, deep rooted knowledge in financial analysis, CF understanding relating to valuation/enterprise value/multiples of businesses/industries, and forecasting/projections related tools/frameworks
  • Analyze companies from a financial, enterprise value, accounting, operational, and industry perspective, competitive benchmarking, M&A due diligence
  • Have knowledge of financial models and be able to create financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed and get the team to deliver high-quality valuation work products
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders to communicate and provide key insights and financial analysis/models-based recommendations
  • Review quarterly and annual reports, press releases, and investor calls of competing firms to obtain strategic insight
  • Compile and analyze industry and competitor/company specific information and financial statements to gain insights into latest trends and movements
  • Conduct deep & continuous competitive research & analysis, delivering accurate, timely, contextual, & strategic insights as a Subject Matter Expert
  • Build & update competitive/market assessments and that support strategic planning efforts and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead & drive key initiatives/deliverables with Business Unit (BU) leaders on strategic initiatives, and at times may need to provide support to CSO office
  • Lead internal initiatives and project management engagements; effectively manage risk associated with engagements; assume responsibility for the quality control and accuracy of client deliverables
  • Provide guidance to team, especially in cases where troubleshooting is required. Train the team on new financial methods and processes

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • MBA Finance with 10+ years of relevant experience in Financial Research, Business Valuation, Peer Analysis.
  • CFA Level II cleared or appeared.
  • Synthesize and communicate coherent strategic insights from sparse and non-uniform data sets.

  • Ability to build & maintain a strong network

  • Ability to provide analytical insights.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects/deliverables to successful completion

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, cross functional, global organization

  • Partner with team members to continually learn and inspire others in the spirit of continuous improvement
