Summary:

The “Director, Test Development” will be based in Shenzhen.

The Test Development Director is in charge of guiding (a) team(s) of Test Development Engineers involved in architecting, developing, and implementing electro-hydraulics aspect of test development process with a focus on fixturing, product interfacing, automation, and operator safety, interfacing with hardware, equipment drivers, diagnostics and data collection / data management.

 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee strategic engineering initiatives from development through successful execution
• Partner with other business to establish strategic plans and goals.
• Work with the customer and design team to comprehend product test requirements.
• Work closely with Design Engineers to comprehend product functionality.
• Ensure safety of operator.
• Provide guidance on automation solutions.
• Oversee resource budgeting, allocation, review, and approval.
• Participate in design input, product architecture, feasibility, and design output technical reviews.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated team and workforce.
• Sponsor continuous improvement projects and/or segment or site initiatives.
   

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or similar is required.
• A Master's in Software Engineering or similar or MBA degree is preferred.
• Requires 8+ years of relevant experience including team management.
• Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete comprehension of the function and those of related businesses.
• Strong customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
