Position Summary:

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will provide technical expertise and assist in implementation of all Environmental, Health and Safety programs by interacting with Mid-Level Management. In this role you will implement policy by managing programs and working with other Fox Factory team members to drive awareness and participation. It is anticipated that about 50% of the time will be on the floor to perform observations, on the spot, and Face to Face life critical training, and report deficiencies as needed. We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OSHA Programs listed below, to support the EHS program. You will take part in incident investigations and may have responsibilities for implementing specific corrective actions related to their area of expertise. You will be responsible for subsequent EHS collaboration and provide daily direction and mentorship as needed. Additionally, you will help to maintain a culture that emphasizes accountability, discipline, and attention to detail at all levels.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the EHS staff with on-site compliance at Gainesville Site.
  • Provide SME support for EHS program (ex. Crane Safety, PIT, Fall Protection, etc.).
  • Provide support to cross location team-based locations.
  • In-field waste disposal and recycling work including but not limited to hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Local compliance auditing to ensure compliance with the Fox Factory Occupational Health and Safety Manual and Environmental Manual.
  • Execution of emergency response plans.
  • Indoctrinate in-field employees and contractors on our Safety Program.
  • Assist in investigations of injuries and illnesses, as well as near misses.
  • Serve as site focal point for safety issues and concerns.
  • Assign personal protective equipment mentoring as required per job hazard analysis documents.
  • Support development of job hazard analysis and perform periodic audits of our Safety and Environmental Programs.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Safety Science/Engineering, Industrial Safety or similar area of study, or equivalent experience

Experience: 

3+ years of experience in the manufacturing environment

Previous EHS experience preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Manufacturing Environment

May lift up to 50 lbs. 

Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer

Varying shift schedules include early morning, evening and weekend assignments
