Position Summary:

Responsible for accounting, credit & collections, cash forecasting and control, cash management, Sox compliance and billing functions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees accounts receivable activities involving tracing sources of error, correcting billing records, processing final billings, reconciling errors, accuracy of charges on customer's bills, investigating, granting, and controlling credit, and in collecting accounts due, maintenance of accounts receivable ledger, and adjustment of customer claims.
  • Perform SOX compliance monitoring programs and protocols, audit and forecasting
  • Reviews accounts receivable records, including claims and overdue invoices.
  • Establishes and implements collection procedures.
  • Prepares report on the status of credit and collections and other operating statements.
  • Determines the amount of credit to be extended and recommends amount of working capital necessary to finance accounts receivable and to provide reserves against bad debts.
  • Investigates credit standing of new customers, arranges terms of payment, and follows up on collection of accounts.
  • Conducts or participates in special studies of economic conditions industries.
  • Monitors and reports on deviations from credit standards.
  • Assures timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Manages cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly
  • Assures that the company's standard template regarding invoice sample is in place for every customer
  • Makes recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures.
  • Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
  • Develop KPI's and other reporting to support the company's financial reporting.
  • Establish and determine credit limits for potential and existing customers for Fox.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Strong leadership capability and experience
  • Strong ERP system knowledge/experience, preferably Oracle
  • Knowledge and understanding of all Accounting & Finance rules and regulations, GAAP
  • Understanding of data driven decision making 
  • Intermediate to advanced applications software expertise (Excel)

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's in Accounting or related field or MBA

Experience:  

5+ years' experience in Accounting

2+ years' experience supervising direct reports 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
