Physician (Cardiology Electrophysiology) – Franciscan Physician Network – Indianapolis, Indiana

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist who specializes in Electrophysiology to join us at Indiana Heart Physicians located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Interested candidate will join large, equal shares, multi-specialty team of twenty-nine cardiologists, three cardiac hospitalists, and ten advanced practice providers.

Founded in 1978, Indiana Heart Physicians has proudly served the communities of South and Central Indiana. Our team is highly integrated; working collaboratively with Franciscan Health to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care. We continue to be on the cutting edge of technology always seeking new therapies and treatment options for the patients we serve.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physician will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members within our Cardiology service line to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; with hospital rotation 1:3
    • Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (2 times per year to provide patient access)
    • Evening hours, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (2 times per year to provide patient access)
  • Weekend call: 1:6
  • Inpatient call coverage 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. 1 evening every 4-5 weeks; Support of three cardiac hospitalists for night call 9:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
  • Weekend call: 1:6
    • Weekend call team consists of four physicians
  • Average clinic volume: 22 patients per day
  • Average inpatient volume: 15 – 20
  • High volumes – average 200+ cases per year
  • State-of-the-art labs:
    • Biosense Webster Cartosound Mapping system with GE recording system, with connectivity to perform cryoballoon cases as well
    • St. Jude Ensite with Perssion Mapping with Velocity recording with TactiCath capabilities and cyro-balloon connectivity
  • Procedures:
    • Permanent Pacemaker implants
    • Pacemaker Lead extractions
    • Leadless Pacemaker implants
    • ICD implants
    • Left Atrial Appendage Closure
    • Ablations: Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, SVT, VT Cryoablation
    • Covergent procedures in collaboration with cardiovascular surgeons
  • Minimal travel to outreach locations <1 hour from main campus

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Required
  • Physician License (DR) - Upon Hire Required and
  • Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
