The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease, is seeking full-time faculty members at in the tenure-eligible Clinician Educator pathway (Open rank).

Positions/Highlights/Requirements

  • Openings exist in; General Infectious Disease, Infection Prevention, Inclusion Medicine and Transplant Infectious Disease
  • Expanding Infectious Diseases division joining 28 faculty members
  • Affiliated clinical sites include Froedtert Hospital and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center in Milwaukee
  • Position will include teaching of fellows, residents, medical students, and students in the allied sciences at MCW
  • Fellowship training and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease required

The Division of General Infectious Disease

The Division of Infectious Disease consists of twenty-seven faculty members that see patients at four major affiliates- Froedtert Hospital, Froedtert West Bend Hospital, Zablocki V.A. Medical Center, and Vivent Health. Together we provide state-of-the-art, collaborative, and patient-centered care to adult patients with inpatient and outpatient consultative services for the diagnosis and management of complex infectious diseases and unexplained febrile illnesses. Our clinics are devoted to HIV/AIDS patient care in addition to treatment of general infectious diseases including, but not limited to, bacterial infections, endocarditis, fevers of unknown origin, osteomyelitis, parasitic and tropical infections, fungal and mycobacterial infections, prosthetic joint infections, and follow-up of hospital in-patients.
