GRC is searching for a team member that thinks, acts and feels like an owner.  The Core Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing cores from various suppliers and vendors. This role requires a strong understanding of engine components and the ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.

 PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Required travel (company paid) to identify and purchase core at vendor locations, auctions and scrap yards
• Source and purchase cores from suppliers and vendors according to company requirements and specifications. 
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Evaluate the quality and conditions of cores to determine their value and suitability for resale or refurbishment.
• Manage relationships with existing suppliers and vendors, as well as identify and onboard new suppliers as needed.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely delivery and payment of cores.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Must be self-sufficient in managing all aspects of the core buying process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent 
• Experience with buying/ selling core engines or components 
• Knowledge of CNH and/or JDR engines and components in lieu of core buying experience
• Negotiation experience in purchasing or sales
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through
• Basic Excel spreadsheet and computer skills 
• MUST have a positive attitude and be self-motivated
