The ALS Instructor is responsible for conducting training and education at the advanced and basic life support levels in concert with the overall mission of the EMS training center. Provides logistical support for on-site and off-site courses, supports EMS training Center leadership through clerical and operational functions in addition to teaching courses.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. A minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) experience in any capacity.2. Must possess basic computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: 1. Minimum of 1-year Instructor experience. Licenses and Certifications Required: 1. Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic Certification or Mobile Intensive Care Nurse Certification or a higher-level medical license.
2. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification or BLS Instructor Trainer.
3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or ACLS Instructor Certification.
4. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification or PALS Instructor Certification.
5. Valid Driver's License from a USA state. Licenses and Certifications Preferred: 1. ACLS Instructor Certification.
2. PALS Instructor Certification.
3. BLS Instructor Certification.
4. Emergency Medical Technician aid.
