Opportunity Information
The NICU Physician Assistant will attend high-risk deliveries and work with neonatologists to assess, diagnose, prescribe, perform procedures, and help develop care plans for neonates.
Responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team providing comprehensive care
- Evaluate and treat newborns in the NICU in collaboration with neonatal attendings
- Attend high risk deliveries and provide appropriate stabilization
- Evaluate newborns in the well baby nursery for conditions requiring elevation of care
- Performs therapeutic interventions as appropriate for care of neonatal patients
- Provide family centered care and communicate effectively with health care teams and families
- Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies
- Participate in NICU transport team
Qualifications
- New Jersey Physician Assistant License, CDS, DEA
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Preference for PA's with prior NICU experience or attended a Neonatal Fellowship
