The Texas Gulf Coast region is one of the key geographic strategies for the expansion of HCA's GME programs. As such, HCA is seeking a General Surgery Residency Program Director to lead in the development and implementation of a new General Surgery Residency Program for the Houston area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated leader to put their stamp on a program from the get-go.
Qualified Candidates will:
* Be Board Certified in General Surgery
* Have previous experience as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited general surgery residency program
* Have strong administrative and team building skills
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Be willing to combine administrative/teaching and clinical responsibilities
Candidates with recent scholarly activity such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educations organizations are highly encouraged to apply.
