Job Summary This position is responsible for the timely and accurate close of the monthly general ledger, supporting the completion of annual statements and regulatory filings, partnering with the business on budget and expense management, and following proper audit procedures and controls. Generating reports and presenting results from financial analysis to enable business decisions.

Job Description

  • Complete journal entries, reconciliations, and generate and distribute reports in support of closing the monthly general ledger.
  • Prepare financial data, monitor filing requirements, and draft filing documents for annual statements and regulatory filings.  
  • Complete financial analysis utilizing analytical techniques and methodologies, including variance and trend analysis.
  • Partner with business leaders on budget and expense management through oversight of the annual budget process, regular reforecasting, ensuring proper cost allocations, and conducting expense analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with audits and controls through partnership with auditors, following control procedures, and updating documentation as necessary.
  • Participate on project teams and presentations for the Finance Department.


 

Required Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of accounting experience or 6 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP or STAT accounting principles
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent judgment and problem resolution skills
  • Organizational and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Math aptitude
  • Customer service skills
  • Effective teamwork skills
  • PC Proficiency to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
