This position is responsible for working with business partners to align solutions with Medicare and Medicaid business strategies; serving as a liaison between the Medicare and Medicaid business community and the key stakeholders to provide quality solutions to meet business needs. Responsible for supporting government program business needs across business case development, delivery cycle and production and/or system change requests to deliver on government program initiatives. Responsible for working across enterprise business functions, processes, project delivery. Responsible for driving communication of changes and any updates needed as a result of enhancements delivered to impacted business units.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Medicare and Medicaid Payment Integrity vendor contracts and vendor management

  • Responsible for Medicare and Medicaid Payment Integrity Strategy

  • Responsible for the overall business case development and execution and takes appropriate action to ensure obligations are met.

  • Responsible for leading the development effort by conveying the vision to the shared services team, outlining and prioritizing work based on business value.

  • Responsible for executive communication and stakeholder management related to project delivery work.

  • Responsible for managing and coaching employees within the project delivery organization.

  • Responsible for leading teams of resources responsible for development and refinement of business cases.

  • Responsible for evaluation of project requests and change requests.

  • Serves as liaison between IT and business leads, as needed.

  • Responsible for leading teams, reviewing and approval of in-scope deliverables.

  • Responsible for providing project oversight to ensure business value is realized, including approval of scope changes or deferrals.

  • Responsible for facilitating troubleshooting with the technical teams to analyze and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of project management experience OR 9 years of project management experience.

  • Knowledge of business strategies and how they impact Enterprise goals.

  • Experience managing tactical plans across business and technical teams to and understanding of the strategy, its importance, and business objectives.

  • Experience defining customer requirements and participate in the creation of user stories.

  • Experience with project delivery (e.g., SDLC, Agile scrum and XP methodologies, etc.)

  • Experience with service request and defect management tools (CASD, ALM, JIRA)

  • Knowledge of application with extensive understanding of operational workflow Experience with Project Management Methodologies.

  • Experience managing and developing expert teams.

  • Management experience.

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

  • Facilitation skills.

  • Experience in negotiations, influence others and managing conflict.

  • PC proficiency with Microsoft applications including Access, Excel, Word and Power Point.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Health Insurance Industry Experience

  • Medicare and/or Medicaid Experience

  • Knowledge of Government Program Payment Integrity Opportunities

  • Experience managing and contracting with external vendors

  • Knowledge of Facets and/or other government program claim processing systems

  • Understanding of business case develop process
