This ten-week paid internship is located in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TXWhat Are Your Responsibilities?
The successful candidate for this position will work closely with the team to assist in developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining existing and new applications. The intern will should be familiar with one or more programming languages and understand one or more development methodologies / delivery models. In this role you may be asked to complete entry level programming tasks as directed by management, manage meeting deadlines, understand and implement changes to relational databases, verify system corrections by utilizing test applications, and initiate and monitor timely defect resolutions for production and operational readiness.
This role will also need to:
- Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
- Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned.
- responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
- Create a final internship PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership covering the internship experience, the assigned project over the course of the summer, including the results along with any solutions or recommendations that can be leveraged by the department in the future.
What Do You Need to Be Successful?
- Knowledge and understanding of application and software design patterns
- Understanding of database management systems, their purpose and function
- Understand the role of data and its impact in decision making for the company, awareness entry level experience with different reporting tools
- Previous internship experience preferred.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
- Strong analytical skills
- Practical, developed PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and Access
What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, math or a related field
- Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Availability to work 10 weeks during the summer (June – August)
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. (Currently, we are not offering this program to students on a visa)

Compensation: $18.10 - $37.10
