Located in any Dearborn Life Insurance Company, subsiduary of HCSC, a mutual legal reserve company office locations (   IL - Belleville, Chicago, Lombard  or Southfield, MI or Portland, ME or Albuquerque, NM or Tulsa/OKC, OK  or TX - Amarillo, Austin, Houston, Richardson, San Antonio ) - this position is responsible for managing the budget and financial metric processes for IT. Responsible for cost containment/reduction, budget and resource planning, monitoring/analysis of financial metrics, reporting, and forecasting. Responsible for managing financial initiatives and strategies; managing accounting and invoicing systems/processes, capital planning/management for IT equipment/software, Enterprise Portfolio Management to include financial reporting, forecasting, and estimation, as well as managing financial goals and objectives. Responsible for managing the vendor relationship and overall governance of the vendors and their performance.

Required Job Qualifications:
*Bachelor Degree and 4 years financial experience (i.e. assigned business areas such as IT or Operations) OR 8 years financial experience (i.e. assigned business areas such as IT emphasis, or Operations).  
*3 years of management and/or leadership experience, and experience managing IT or Operations processes with broad knowledge of IT (application development, infrastructure, operations, security).
*Experience with customer relationship and vendor management; knowledge of risk, compliance & audit processes within large sized organizations.
*Experience with process design, integration, implementation & continuous improvement.
*Experience developing, reviewing contracts and recommending improvements.
*Problem solving /analytical thinking.
*Negotiation skills and ability to influence.
*Knowledge with investment valuation techniques including ROI, NPV, EVA, RBC.
*Knowledge of financial and/or resource modeling.
*Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
*2 years planning and budget experience.
*PC proficiency to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
*Bachelor Degree or Advanced degree in Finance / Business.
*Experience with project and portfolio accounting.
*Experience with financial management of IT Equipment/Software.
*Vendor Management Contracting – manages new contracts/sow, contracting RFP on new or existing vendor contracts.
*Supporting CFO, CIO, COO Chief Actuary and Chief Marketing officer on contracts as well as Legal and Security functions.  
*Procurement - manages the processing Purchase Orders and invoices from various vendors.
*IT Finance - manages IT Finance Budgeting and Analytics functions for budgeted operations and project spend includes monthly reforecasts and analysis of expenditures.
