Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking a skilled Senior Recruiter to join our Recruiting team.
The Senior Recruiter is responsible for driving the full-cycle recruitment process to attract, engage, and hire top talent across the organization. This role plays a critical part in proactively identifying qualified candidates - both active and passive - through strategic sourcing, headhunting, and cold outreach. By partnering with hiring managers and aligning recruitment strategies with business needs, the Senior Recruiter ensures timely, high-quality hires while promoting a strong employer brand and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Own the entire recruitment process from job intake and sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Aggressively source passive candidates through headhunting, cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and other proactive tactics.
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to fill critical, hard-to-fill, and senior-level roles.
- Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand hiring needs and position requirements.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by building relationships and providing timely communication throughout the process.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Continuously improve sourcing, interviewing, and selection processes to increase efficiency and quality of hire.
- Track and analyze key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline conversion rates, etc.) and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Promote the company's employer brand across digital platforms, networking events, and candidate interactions.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Network with technical schools and universities on developing recruitment programs to attract an applicant pool for open positions for all HCSG locations.
- Perform other duties and projects assigned by leadership in alignment with the evolving needs of the business.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of full cycle recruiting experience, including direct sourcing and cold calling
- Proven track record of success in headhunting and engaging passive candidates
- Experience in a high-volume hiring environment, managing multiple roles simultaneously
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search)
- Knowledge of various state and federal laws
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificate:
- Strong cold calling and outbound sourcing abilities to uncover hidden talent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Strategic mindset with a proactive and resourceful approach to solving hiring challenges
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfort with data analysis and using recruiting metrics to guide decisions

- Must be able to pass Drug/alcohol screening and background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Level Degree with a concentration in Human Resources or related field
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM - CP/SCP certification preferred
