HOK is looking for a Student Intern to join our Experience Design team in Chicago, Houston or Kansas City.  Under supervision of senior staff, the successful candidate will create illustrations and graphics for use on environmental graphic design projects for a variety of clients and project types.  Pease indicate which office(s) you are interested in working in when applying.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with the design and development of way finding, environmental and graphic design projects.
• Creates illustrated and graphic images for presentation.
• Conceptualizes ideas for presentation.
• Prepares files for output.
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
• Overtime may be required.
• Travel may be required.

• Knowledge of the environmental graphic design process.
• Knowledge of corporate branding and print design applications required.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of MS Office Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
• Must possess design talent, creative energy and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Premier Pro, Flash, HTML, Sketch Up or After Effects a plus.
• Knowledge about design elements, such as color and composition.
• Ability to provide excellent, consistent service to internal clients in a supportive and professional manner.
• Ability to work in a team environment and must possess good interpersonal skills.

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in architecture, graphic, industrial design or related field.
