Note: The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate#s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient-centered care.# Our Pulmonology team is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to actively and collaboratively participate in all aspects of patient care. # Overview of responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist physician during office medical procedures and exams, ensuring complete and proper documentation of patient records. To assist in the coordination of care, including follow-up and referral as necessary. Administer injections, medications, and tests, as required. Provide appropriate patient education in collaboration with the provider Appropriately triage all patients in person or on the phone to determine emergency situations, identify illness symptoms, and advise as to appropriate follow-up. Appropriately assist with medication refills and orders according to specific practice policy. Specimen collection according to hospital policy. Effectively obtain prior authorizations in a timely manner as required for medications. To address general concerns of patients regarding#care issues that are pertinent to the specialty practice.# Complete an appropriate exam for which the patient is being seen (physical and behavioral) Continue to be up-to-date with evidence-based practice and research for the primary practice you are assigned to. # Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses. # Licenses/Registrations: Current license as a licensed practical nurse within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. #Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. # Experience: Two years of experience in a physician#s office, preferably in Pulmonology.# Special Aptitudes # Activities:#The role requires strong adaptability to changing workloads, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with people of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds. It also demands solid organizational, leadership, and customer service skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to follow oral and written instructions while multitasking for extended periods. Additionally, the position requires physical and sensory abilities, sound nursing judgment in emergency situations, knowledge of learning principles and body mechanics, and familiarity with medical/surgical equipment and supplies.
