Job Title: Sr. Program Manager – Operations-Manufacturing Optimization (Remote)

 

The position focuses on the review and evaluation of the various ICU Medical product manufacturing sites to determine options for site optimization, consolidation, restructure or cost savings. Knowledge of manufacturing technologies is required. Experience with manufacturing site optimization, consolidation, streamlining and/or business cost efficiency analysis is required. Medical device experience highly preferred.

Position Summary

 

The Program Manager – Operations will develop and lead projects in support of optimization of the global manufacturing network.  The role organizes and leads assigned projects in a project management capacity, as well as presents issues, recommendations, and updates to management on the assigned projects. The primary responsibilities of the Program/Project Manager will be to help create and manage project plans including business case development in support of network optimization.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·       Lead/support development of strategic options for network optimization of ICU manufacturing plants and locations through multiple lenses including product lifecycle, mfg. technology, supply chain and cost structures with cost/ benefit analysis to deliver recommendations and provide decisions support.

·       Analysis and implementation of plant/operational restructuring programs.

·       Provide project leadership, organize project teams and lead the execution of project activities.

·       Prepare and analyze project forecasts, timelines, budgets, reports, and metrics to ensure project deliverables arrive on time and on budget.

·       Support and participate in the decision-making process of global Operations project management.

·       Facilitate contingency planning, project risk assessment, and other decision-making activities on an as needed basis.

·       Other duties or special projects as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

·       Manufacturing network optimization experience required.

·       Business case development skills with very strong Operations cost accounting knowledge

·       Advanced computer skills required: MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and mastery of MS Excel. Experience with SQL/Database management tools a plus

·       Project Management experience required, including cross functional collaboration (e.g., Legal, Regulatory, Operations, Procurement, Clinical Affairs, Operations, Marketing, Quality), budget management experience, project scheduling / timeline management.

·       Excellent interpersonal and influence management skills including ability to effectively handle conflict through proactive action, and direct and timely communication.

·       Self-motivated and skilled at working independently.

·       Team leadership skills required.

·       Strong comprehension, communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

·       Well-developed Customer Service and problem resolution skills

 

Education and Experience

·       Bachelor's Degree (or greater) in Business or Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.

·       5 years' experience in Project Management required.

o   Medical Device Project Management experience a very strong plus.

o   3 years' experience in support of Manufacturing Operations preferred.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Must be at least 18 years of age.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:   This is largely a sedentary role. This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

 This role is based remotely. The incumbent may be remote in any state other than California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Montana or New York.
