Description

Responsibilities * Lead the Safety and Emergency Response Team. * Managing the Safety Officers and Trainers while ensuring coverage across all shifts. * Provide direct hands-on support as needed. * Lead and evaluate effectiveness of regular workplace inspections/audits. * Perform CPR or first aid when needed and maintain sufficient First Responder coverage as required by CID. * Assist in preparation and execution of internal inspections/audits as required * Escalate situations that pose a negative impact to business to the appropriate people and in a timely manner. * Investigate & enter all safety and security incidents in EHS within 24 hours of occurrence. * Conduct forklift certifications and training classes * Maintain and update safety boards * Identify best practices and lead initiatives to reduce work process risks * Raise safety awareness and improve safety practices on all shifts * Act as the sites COVID Coordinator. * Demonstrates a positive attitude and teamwork in meeting goals and objectives. * Represent the Kennesaw site on all company safety calls. * Conduct employee training as needed. * Ensure 5s audits are completed, documented, and posted. * Complete, review, and update JHAs, SOPs, training guides, and best practices as needed. * Range from 60k through 70k base on experience Requirements: * 1 year of experience in a safety & supervisor role * High school diploma or equivalent experience * Able to deploy safety & security practices, policies, and deescalate / control hostile situations * Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within all levels of the organization * Detail-oriented with a capacity for critical thinking and problem solving * Must have a working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices * Knowledge of safety (personal and food) programs, policies, and systems * Ability to perform root cause analysis and provide effective recommendations to mitigate risks * Bi-lingual is a plus but not required Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
