Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG)is hiring for a Sr. Operations Manager to support our Distribution team in Jackson, TN.  The Sr. Operations Manager manages the daily operations of assigned areas in the DC.  Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Sr. Operations Manager will oversee overall operations to ensure customer service levels and commitments are achieved.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 1st shift with flexibility for weekends/additional hours as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 5 years' experience in a high-volume distribution center supervising at least 25 or more employees
  • 5 years' experience with a Warehouse Management System 3 years warehouse experience in a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • 6 months work experience which included walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard

Preferred Skills:

  • 3+ years' experience overseeing a salaried team
  • Experienced with continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced operations environment
  • Proven success in coaching and developing team members, with a passion for employee engagement
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate positively with team members and other leaders throughout the facility

Essential Duties:

  • Manage staff selection & development, ensuring all associates are fully trained/cross trained on systems and procedures and provided with educational opportunities with departmental activities.
  • Oversee the management of day-day activities for assigned area of DC.
  • Communicate departmental goals and objectives to attain company goals.
  • Maintain goals, objectives and job descriptions that keep the associate motivated and focused on attaining personal, departmental, and company goals.
  • Review associate's performance based on goals and objectives, measuring and reporting outcomes to management.
  • Work with DC head and supervisors to resolve departmental problems/issues.
  • Collaborate with the DC Sr. Management in the planning, developing and launching of processes/plans for DC strategies.
  • Review competitive information to stay current with industry trends and developments.
  • Visit and talk with other companies to bring in new ideas on Distribution operations.
  • Control and manage budget costs of assigned departments/assigned areas.
  • Work with management to improve CPU/CPL while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain a zero-error environment.
