Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Trade Show and Events Specialist to join our team in LaVergne, TN (Greater Nashville Area).  In this role, you lead the execution of trade show and event program plans for specified Ingram Content Group (ICG) lines of business (LOBs).  You'll execute the planning, implementation, and production of meetings, events, and trade shows, both physical and virtual, for a cross-section of ICG companies/divisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business, or a related field or directly related year-for-year experience.
  • 3 years' experience producing various-sized trade shows, meetings, and events in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and executes all logistical aspects of trade shows and events globally for specific ICG LOBs, including but not limited to: space selection, show services, packing, shipping, accommodations, event sponsorships, and special events within budgetary guidelines.  Includes physical and virtual events and activities.  Maintains detailed records of orders, invoices, packing lists, attendee lists, etc.
  • Develops a plan of production for trade shows and LOB events; from contract agreements/implementation to event close, including a team debrief to identify successes and areas of improvement.
  • Ensures all details of the event plan contribute to attaining determined goals; providing solutions to meet or exceed client expectations.  Tracks event metrics to evaluate success.
  • Meets regularly with stakeholders, communicating appropriately to ensure timely execution of plan requirements.
  • Manages the physical logistics of menus, inventory, rentals, displays, and other needs to ensure event success.
  • Manages the virtual logistics of asset management, platform functionality and other needs to ensure event success.
  • Partners with team members on assignments to ensure events are on track for internal and external deadlines.
  • Submits formal project budgets for Director review and approval; acquires required approvals for items and plans.  Maintains records of orders and processes payments in a timely fashion.
  • Develops long-term working relationships with show management teams to maximize Ingram opportunities.
  • May work in partnership with Sr. Specialists or Director on large or complex events.
  • May work directly with Ingram distribution publisher clients.
  • Perform duties as outlined on Trade Show & Events Coordinator job description as warranted for event and department success.
