Director Intertek Moody Technical Inspection Services
Intertek is looking for a Director to lead the Technical Inspection Services business in North America. This role is responsible for defining and implementing the regional business strategy, including growing the business, optimizing the margin, leading the team, and increasing market penetration for the business. This position reports to the Executive Vice President, Global Industry Services.
Intertek Technical Inspection Services (TIS) is a partner to clients in diverse industries such as oil & gas, renewable energy, engineering, chemical, and transportation. Intertek supports our clients striving to meet the growing global infrastructure requirements and demands for secure and sustainable sources of energy through services such as inspection, expediting, technical auditing, and site construction support.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

- Define the business strategy to grow, optimize margin, and increase market penetration through:
- Sales, Operations (capacity), Marketing, Engineering (service development), Accreditations
- Size and prioritize customers, services and countries for specified business line
- Develop new services
- Bundle existing services
- Integration of existing businesses/service offerings
- Build operational relationships throughout the organization
- Communicate the market opportunity, Intertek positioning, and service package across the region
- Build, develop and engage the teams to accomplish the business goals.
- Talent planning and ensuring leadership bench strength.
- Inspire and lead the team to achieve excellence in high growth service offerings
- Actively promote the business by working with operational leaders, sales and marketing
- Make business recommendations on capital expenditures and other initiatives
- Customer interactions including promoting and developing new business opportunities, bid negotiations, resolving issues
- Perform other work as required
ESSENTIAL RQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in business, management or related scientific discipline; Engineering degree is preferred.
- Ability to apply strategic thinking and frameworks to the business to help define how the business will move forward
- 7+ years directly related experience in a technical or engineering environment, preferably within the energy sector, oil and gas, or the TIC industry
- 5+ years successful experience leading a team, managing operational relationships, and leading a $50M+ commercial business
- Prior experience with M&A, or with businesses integrations

- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
- Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
- Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties
- Must be customer focused and quality driven
- Ability to travel as business needs dictate
