Project Facilitator - Building and Construction

Intertek is searching for a Project Facilitator to join our Building & Construction team in our York, PA office.  

The Project Facilitator will support the Building and Construction business through client outreach, proposal generation and client retention. The Project Facilitator will work alongside local management to find and explore new opportunities and service offerings to aid in the exponential growth our group has seen in the Southeast for the past few consecutive years. This position opportunity for growth and development within the department and company.

 We're looking for a detail oriented self-starter individual that will engage new and existing clients to provide quality proposals and aid in the execution and scheduling of services.

What you'll do:

  •     Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure Intertek is meeting their every need
  •     Find new customers and build new relationships
  •     Provide Quality Proposals and Scope of Work detailing at the client's request
  •     Participate in local chapters of industry associations in order to expand our reach and be in touch with market innovations
  •     Provide project coordination including the planning, scheduling and execution with consistent and professional interaction and communication.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate degree in a technical field preferred
  • Some commercial construction experience required (general knowledge of basic construction and carpentry skills)
  • Ability to learn the building envelope including wall cladding systems, curtain walls, window and door systems, waterproofing, roofing, etc. and their installation means and methods
  • Aptitude for working independently on assigned projects
  • Technically competent and able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers, both in writing and orally
  • Able to develop and maintain good rapport with clients and subcontractors
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet changing priorities and strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain good rapport with clients, designers, contractors, etc.
  • Excellent computer skills required – Microsoft Office & Outlook
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record (required)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
