Overview:

• We're seeking a forward-thinking Customer Engineer (CE) to guide cloud application modernization efforts with enterprise customers. This role centers on modern DevOps practices, microservices design, and AI-enhanced development, helping customers unlock agility and innovation through Azure-native platforms and GitHub tooling.
• You'll work closely with enterprise customers' dev teams, architects, and IT leaders to help them modernize legacy apps, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and embed GitHub Copilot into development workflows—all while guiding customers through secure and scalable cloud adoption using App Service, APIM, and Docker-based containers

What You'll Do:

• Lead engagements focused on App Service modernization, API strategy, and microservices implementation.
• Guide customers in building and exposing services through Azure API Management (APIM) with robust governance and security.
• Help developer teams adopt modern DevOps practices with GitHub and Azure DevOps, including pipeline design, IaC, and release automation.
• Promote use of GitHub Copilot to improve dev team velocity, reduce technical debt, and scale secure coding practices.
• Guide clients in efforts involving containerization of workloads using Docker, and support app deployments in container-native environments on Azure.
• Conduct hands-on technical sessions, architecture reviews, and advisory briefings to support enterprise DevOps transformation.
• Provide end-to-end governance and delivery oversight across assigned customers and modernization efforts.

Key Skills & Technologies:

• Azure App Platforms: Azure App Service, Azure API Management (APIM), Logic Apps (optional).
• DevOps Tooling: GitHub (including GitHub Actions), Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines), CI/CD automation, repo hygiene.
• Architecture & Patterns: Microservices, REST APIs, secure service-to-service comms, fault-tolerant design.
• Containers: Docker containerization, image lifecycle management, Azure Container Registry (ACR).
• AI in Dev: GitHub Copilot, Copilot for CLI/PRs, integrating AI tools securely into SDLC workflows.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 5+ years of experience in application development or DevOps roles, with emphasis on cloud-native platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps pipelines, version control, and deployment automation.
• Experience helping enterprise customers containerize and re-platform apps to App Service or other PaaS environments.
• Familiarity with integrating GitHub Copilot or similar tools in enterprise-scale dev workflows.
• Comfortable guiding stakeholders from developers to C-level in cloud transformation initiatives.
