To perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring. Perform routine neurophysiological procedures as needed. Responsible for attaching electrodes to patient and operating electroencephalograph equipment which procedures a multiple channel tracing portraying biopotential activity in a patient's head which a physician subsequently analyzes in diagnosing patient's condition. Position operate equipment in examine rooms, inpatient units and intensive care units.
Minimum Education: • AA degree from an accredited school preferred Minimum Experience/Knowledge: • 0-2 years experience performing intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring or equivalent skill set Required License/Certification: • Registered by the American Board of Registered Electroencephalogram Technologists for Neurodiagnostic studies (REEG/ REPT)and/or CNIM (Certified Neurodiagnostic Intraoperative Monitoring) within one year of employment. • CNIM (Certified Neurodiagnostic Intraoperative Monitoring) preferred. • Valid BCLS certification for the healthcare provider from the American Heart Association. • Fire and Safety Certification. If employee does not have card upon hire one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date
