Accounting Specialist – Johnstown, OH (Onsite)
$24–$32/hr | Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm | Temporary (6 Months)
Potential for Extension or Permanent Hire

We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Johnstown, OH. This is a full-time, onsite role supporting finance and accounting operations across the organization. You'll play a key role in assisting with month-end close, managing AP/AR, supporting manufacturing cost analysis, and partnering with the business management team to drive operational and financial performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a strong foundation in finance and accounting.

What You'll Do

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes

  • Maintain inter-company billings and reconciliations

  • Support time sheet collection, labor reporting, and analysis

  • Assist with inventory management, cycle counting, and annual physical inventory

  • Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and journal entries

  • Support budget preparation and monitoring

  • Partner with HR and operations teams on administrative and process-related tasks

  • Participate in cost reduction projects and other initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of accounting experience; experience in AR/AP strongly preferred

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (SAP, Epicor, or Power BI a plus)

  • Open to new accounting graduates with relevant coursework or internship experience
