Accounts Payable Vendor Master Specialist

Location: Santa Cruz, CA 
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Pay Rate: + $48.00/HR  (Depends on Experience)

Employment Type: Temporary (Approx. 3 months, with potential for extension)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Vendor Master Specialist to join our client's finance team in Santa Cruz, CA. This is a temporary position with the potential to extend. The ideal candidate will bring strong vendor management experience, excellent data accuracy, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This role is critical to supporting the company's vendor onboarding, maintenance, and payment processing operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring vendor data integrity and compliance within internal systems—primarily Microsoft D365.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up new vendors and maintain accurate vendor records in Microsoft D365
  • Process vendor payments and support accounts payable functions
  • Verify banking and tax information to ensure compliance and prevent fraud
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support vendor onboarding and updates
  • Work with both domestic and international vendors
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and data integrity standards
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable or Vendor Master Data Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft D365 (required)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify and address potential fraud or data inconsistencies
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience
