Job Title: Accounts Payable Processor
Location: Chesterfield, MO
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Onsite)
Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $20.00/hour (based on experience)
Kelly Services is hiring an Accounts Payable Processor for a client in Chesterfield, MO. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring vendor invoices and employee reimbursements are processed accurately and on time. You'll serve as a key connection point between the company and its suppliers, while also supporting internal teams with invoice and payment inquiries.
Key Responsibilities-
Manage incoming communications (email and phone) regarding invoice status, discrepancies, and payment terms.

Monitor accounts payable queues, identifying and escalating issues when needed.

Process vendor invoices by verifying details, matching with purchase orders, and applying discounts.

Assist suppliers with payment portal registration and troubleshoot debit balance concerns.

Review and process invoices that require special handling, including manual payment requests and detailed cost allocations.

Audit invoices and expense reports for tax accuracy, making accruals as required.

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and support month-end close processes.

Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to streamlining AP procedures.

Minimum of 1 year of accounts payable or accounting support experience.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline preferred.

Experience with SAP and intermediate-level Excel skills strongly preferred.

Understanding of debits and credits as they relate to accounts payable.

Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities.

Effective communication skills across email, phone, and in-person interactions.

High attention to detail, ability to work independently, and maintain confidentiality.

Competitive starting pay of $20/hour, depending on experience.

Daytime, Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends.
