Kelly Services is seeking an Accounts Receivable professional with experience and proficiency in QuickBooks to work at a commercial contractor in Lake Zurich. Sound good? Apply now!

Role: Accounts Receivable professional with experience and proficiency in QuickBooks
Pay: $22-24/hr.
Duration: 4 months +, potentially contract to hire
Hours: 8a – 5p M-F
Location: Lake Zurich, IL – 100% onsite

Responsibilities
1.           Invoice Processing:
•            Generate and distribute accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
•            Verify billing data to ensure correctness and completeness.
•            Address any discrepancies or issues with invoices promptly and efficiently.
•            Confirming with clients that invoices have been received.
2.           Payment Processing

  • Record and reconcile incoming payments and deposits.
  • Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate collection actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts manager monthly to ensure proper recording of change orders and application of payments.
3.           Customer Communication:        
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing and payments.
  • Provide timely and courteous responses to customer queries and concerns.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
4.           Collections
  • Implement collection strategies to minimize outstanding receivables.
  • Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and update customer accounts accordingly.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and cash flow projections.
  • Updating monthly metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the accounts receivable process.
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred, not required).
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable coordinator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong work tenure
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
