Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $25-30/hour

Contract Type: Temporary to Hire

 

Our client, a leading maintenance, construction, and equipment installation company in Houston, TX, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist skilled in QuickBooks to support a major project and ongoing company growth. In this role, you will manage invoicing, collections, and payment processing for large-scale initiatives and general operations, helping ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience in the service or construction industry, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to maintain reliable and efficient accounts receivable processes. Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process invoices, payments, and collections using QuickBooks for both project-specific and general company accounts.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with clients on outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.
  • Reconcile accounts, research and resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams and external customers to verify billing details and support project milestones.
  • Prepare regular accounts receivable reports for management and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Uphold company standards for confidentiality and professionalism while building strong client relationships.

 

Qualifications Needed:

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably within the maintenance, construction, or equipment installation industries.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members.
  • Ability to research and resolve financial discrepancies efficiently.
