Title: Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 12 months +        
Type: W2 contract (NO C2C OR THIRD PARTY)
Pay: $30.00 - $34.01/hour


Overview

  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for the Electric Ave X-Ray Tubes facility.
  • Lead a variety of product quality projects ranging from product design changes, process development/stabilization, and new equipment design.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure early focus on manufacturability in product design and/or Advanced Technology programs. Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment development
  • Work with manufacturing to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.
  • Identify and deploy breakthrough technologies that can be leveraged to reduce lead time, improve quality, or reduce cost.
  • Monitor and improve productivity using Lean, Six Sigma, Brilliant Factory, or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are met with quality product.
  • Support AME initiatives with wide business impact and ensure best practice sharing across the Global Supply Chain
  • Ensure regulatory compliance through Qualification & Validation. Responsible for ensuring rigor in determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptance
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

Required Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Material Science.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated program or project management skills
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications
  • 6-sigma DMAIC & DFSS certified
  • Experiences in process intensive manufacturing, including machining, brazing, welding, cleaning, measurement, and test equipment.
  • Experience developing engineering or manufacturing test equipment.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills
  • Ability to identify and implement Best Practices
  • Product and Process Development experience
  • Solid working knowledge of GEHC quality management system
  • Experienced developing tools and processes
  • Demonstrated experience owning production processes while growing capability in yield and quality
  • Experience in process intensive manufacturing (examples: brazing, casting, welding, measurement, machining, and test) or equipment design/controls engineering
  • Experience working with global teams

  • Onsite / Monday – Friday / 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Contract position; opportunity for contract to hire for the right candidate; no guarantee
