Put your career in motion with a great, new opportunity. Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as an Assembler II supporting a highly respected manufacturer of packaging equipment, tools, and automation solutions for industrial customers.

? Location: 1600 Central Ave, Roselle, IL 60172
? Pay Rate: $25/hour
? Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Saturday OT if needed)
? Employment Type: 3-month contract
? Work Setup: Onsite, manufacturing environment
?? What's a typical day as an Assembler II? You will:

  • Assemble diverse subassemblies and final products for general-purpose machines.
  • Work with hand and power tools (manual, air-driven, battery), feeler gauges, arbor presses, and hand trucks.
  • Read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions to complete processes with minimal direction.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to install switches, sensors, connectors, and wire harnesses.
  • Conduct functional tests, perform intermediate mechanical adjustments, and ensure dimensional correctness.
  • Execute quality checks and ensure all equipment meets company standards and timelines.
  • Document assembly processes, record production data, and report on test results or quality issues.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in line with 6S and company safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with your supervisor and team.
? This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • 2+ years of electrical and/or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • Experience building machines or working in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to work independently with limited direction.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
