Assembly Operator

Shift:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday | 2:15 PM – 12:45 AM

  • Training Schedule: 1st Shift for 4–6 weeks (training purposes only)

Pay Rate:

  • Base rate plus 10% shift differential = $23.10/hour

Position Overview

The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electronic and mechanical components by following standardized work instructions and manufacturing drawings. This role requires strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a clean, safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble components according to standardized work instructions and top/sub-level drawings

  • Perform testing of electronic and mechanical assemblies requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

  • Read, interpret, and follow manufacturing drawings, SOPs, and OMS documentation

  • Use microscopes and small hand tools to support precision assembly and inspection tasks

  • Maintain high cleanliness standards in accordance with 5S principles

  • Follow all safety rules, protocols, and supervisor direction

  • Apply job skills, company policies, and standard operating procedures consistently

  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset in daily work activities

  • Perform varied and semi-routine assembly tasks

  • Work overtime as required to meet production demands

Qualifications
  • 1+ year of assembly or manufacturing experience preferred

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and written instructions

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality standards

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing/production environment

  • Work involves repetitive hand motions and use of microscopes and small tools

  • Cleanroom or controlled cleanliness standards may apply
