What's a typical day as a Final Line Mechanic? You will:
- Assemble, install, adjust, and repair aircraft structures, systems, and components, including control cables, landing gear, engines, doors, valves, and ducts.
- Perform inspections, quality checks, and rework to ensure installations meet all requirements, certifications, and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain various tools and equipment (permaswage pumps, gauges, cutting tools, wrenches, etc.) to complete precise installations and minor structural repairs.
- Document work by updating logs, records, and inspection sheets while complying with company safety, FOD, and 5S programs.
- Support final phase testing, continuous improvement initiatives, and aircraft certification processes as needed.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
- At least 1 year aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience such as auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.
- High school diploma or accredited GED
- The ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams and use all tools required to do the job.
- The ability to perform work such as basic drilling, reaming, ship fitting parts, etc.
- The ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas and lift up to 50 lbs.
