Job Summary
The Cabinet Builder will be responsible for the preparation, positioning, and assembly of the cabinetry parts based on product order specifications. This position requires a strong attention to detail, accountability to self and others, and interdepartmental communication.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the CARE values of the organization.
• Commit to producing a quality product for our customers.
• Assemble base and wall Cabinets according to production standards and specifications.
• Utilize pre-kitted carts to efficiently build cabinet boxes.
• Attach parts and subassemblies together to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, and/or clamps.
• Maintain a high level of precision and craftsmanship during the assembly process.
• Adhere to production schedules and meet daily output goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience in woodworking or carpentry preferred.
• Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment
• Knowledge of how to add and subtract measurements.
• Proficient with reading measuring devices to include tape measures, straight rule, and levels.
• Able to identify proper tools needed to complete tasks and use them effectively.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time
• Detail Oriented
Physical Requirements
• Position requires constant physical effort both inside and outside of an air-conditioned environment.
• Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time
• Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period of time.
Safety
- This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all required protective personal equipment (PPE).
- Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes are required. Other PPE may be required depending on the role. All PPE must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
