Salary: $56k-66k annually
Shift: M-F, standard working hours
Overview:
Chemist will be working in the Quality Control department. Must have at least 1 year of pharmaceutical and/or chemical industry experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and run HPLC, GC, ICP, UV, FTIR, dissolution tester and other analytical instrumentation in an analytical lab set up. 
  • Perform analytical tests (wet chemistry, assay, impurity/degradant, dissolution and residual solvents in raw materials and finished products according to USP or in-house methods.
  • Conduct some research. Investigate failures in analytical testing results.
  • Address analytical issues in FDA deficiency letters.
  • Comply with cGMP regulations and follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation within level of experience. As well as assist with equipment calibrations and qualification.
  • Review peer's notebooks; quality/technical review to ensure SOP/GMPs followed.
  • Train and guide entry level chemists with method development as needed.

Qualifications:
  • B.S./M.S. with 2+ years hands on experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in pharmaceuticals or chemical industry.
  • Must have at least 1 year of recent pharmaceutical and/or chemical industry experience.
  • Experience with HPLC, GC, ICP, UV, FTIR, dissolution tester and other analytical instrumentation in an analytical lab set up.
