Description

As a Clinical Specialist, you'll use your wound care expertise to influence change in healthcare, improve patient outcomes, and drive the success of our innovative Wound Care Division. Partnering closely with Sales, Strategic Accounts, and Marketing, you'll deliver clinical education, support product adoption, and help shape the future of wound care.
 
Job Title: Clinical Specialist
Territory: Nevada & Northern California (candidates must reside within this territory)
Travel: Extensive overnight travel (approx. 75%), sometimes on short notice
Salary: $98,400-$148,522 (commensurate with experience)
 
Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement the Clinical Sales Strategy in top targeted accounts in partnership with Sales and Strategic Accounts.
  • Deliver product-related programs, including professional education events, peer-to-peer sessions, and clinical evidence initiatives (QIPs).
  • Provide clinical implementation tools and deliver CICs where appropriate.
  • Coordinate clinical activities with Sales leaders to assist in achieving sales goals and improving patient outcomes.
  • Act as the primary clinical resource for Territory Sales Managers (TSMs), ensuring alignment with clinical policies and best practices.
  • Train and support new hire TSMs; provide ongoing education to tenured TSMs in the classroom, in the field, and at regional/national meetings.
  • Represent the company in professional wound care associations and events.
  • Identify and develop clinical advocates and investigators.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Strategic Accounts, and Business Development teams as needed.
 
Key Decisions:
  • Select and approve clinical documents for use in education and consultation.
  • Partner with Medical Professional Affairs and key stakeholders to ensure clinical activities drive business results.
  • Serve as a clinical resource in R&D, clinical trials, and new product launches.
  • Manage time, travel, and resources with fiscal responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, or related specialty required; Master's degree preferred
  • Certification in one of the following required: CWOCN®, CWCN®, CWON®, or CWS®
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience as a certified wound care clinician
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the wound care industry; strong industry and clinical network preferred
  • Experience presenting to groups of various sizes
