Location: Houston, TX 77047 (South Houston)
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 2nd shift (M-F)  2pm-10:30pm w/ some Saturdays 

Pay: Competitive Pay Based on Experience

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to perform precision machining operations according to blueprints, process sheets, and other specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and process sheets to determine machining requirements.

  • Download, edit, or write programs from a DNC system.

  • Select and install appropriate tools, calculate feeds and speeds based on material types.

  • Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments; ensure equipment calibration.

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce setup time and increase efficiency.

  • Actively participate in daily Continuous Improvement activities.

  • Adhere to all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.

  • Foster a collaborative, team-focused work environment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 5–10 years of CNC machining experience (preferably in tight-tolerance environments).

  • Trade school certification or equivalent technical training preferred.

  • Experience working with various metals including steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and machining instructions.

  • Proficient in using and calibrating precision measuring tools.

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs.

  • Must have close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and typical manufacturing environment noise levels.
