What's a typical day as a Collections Account Specialist? You'll be:
• Proactively initiating B2B customer contacts to ensure payment on past due invoices.
• Processing billing adjustments and resolving customer discrepancies.
• Utilizing judgment in releasing/holding orders and resolving payment disputes.
• Escalating uncollectible accounts and providing updates to department heads.
• Maintaining relationships with internal and external customers to drive efficiencies.
• Assisting in projects, process improvements, and other collection-related tasks.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable with a focus in collections.
• Hold a bachelor's degree in a business-related field (preferred, but not required).
• Have previous experience in credit and B2B collections.
• Possess excellent customer service and professional telephone etiquette.
• Have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Display a strong sense of urgency and customer focus.
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Are tech-savvy and able to set up equipment to work from home.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and speaking style.
• Are able to handle a high volume of calls per day.
• Have experience working with multiple systems.
