Now Hiring: Conveyable Loader / Warehouse / Distribution Center
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:45 pm start time, 8–12 hour shifts
Position Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking Conveyable Loader to efficiently load product cases onto pallets, remove cases from conveyors, and organize them for truck loading. This fast-paced role involves significant repeated lifting and requires attention to detail and experience operating electric pallet jacks (EPJs). You must follow safety procedures and meet productivity goals while maintaining an organized and secure work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read route and truck numbers to ensure accurate truck loading
- Use warehouse management systems to properly account for all cases on the manifest
- Palletize and load cases from conveyors onto trucks without breakage
- Identify damaged items and safely handle spills
- Operate hand trucks and motorized pallet jacks
- Safely run and, when needed, shut down conveyor lines
- Maintain records for inventory control and stock rotation
- Report any equipment or safety issues in writing
- Help with physical inventory counts and in other work areas as assigned
- Keep the work area neat, clean, and safe
- Support warehouse safety and security
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 18 years or older
- Minimum 6 months relevant warehouse or loading experience preferred
- Electric pallet jack (EPJ) experience required
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment preferred
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to adapt, communicate clearly, and work with others
- Dependability, professionalism, and positive attitude
- Good time management and flexibility
- Results-driven and able to meet productivity targets
- Able to read, write, and perform basic math
- Comfortable using handheld technology and warehouse systems
- Skills in inventory and quality control
- Work in a non-temperature controlled warehouse (exposure to heat, humidity, and inclement weather)
- Occasional work in refrigerated areas
- Moderate to loud noise levels with some dust and equipment fumes
- Consistent, reliable attendance
- Frequent operation of pallet jacks and/or forklifts if needed
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, carry, and handle cases throughout your shift
- Lift 50–65 lbs regularly (including some overhead lifting)
- Requires specific vision abilities (close vision, distance vision, depth perception)
