Customer Service Representative – Manufacturing
Norwood, MA | 100% Onsite | $70,000 – $75,000 per year
Leading manufacturer of PTFE-coated medical mandrels and components, serving the medical device industry with precision and excellence. We are seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Norwood, MA. In this critical role, you'll be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service while supporting the order management and fulfillment process. What You'll Do
- Manage and process incoming customer orders, ensuring accuracy against specifications, blueprints, and quotes.
- Serve as the key customer contact, handling inquiries, scheduling, delivery updates, and quality performance issues.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, coordinating with the Quality Department on Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Create and maintain accurate customer and item records in the ERP/MRP system.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, and Production teams to ensure seamless order flow and timely delivery.
- Support quoting activities by gathering key data such as history, blueprints, and revisions.
- Monitor customer backlogs, analyze order trends, and proactively solicit reorders.
- Participate in production meetings and offer continuous process improvement ideas.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and technical competence, representing Applied Plastics both internally and externally.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ERP/MRP system experience (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to interpret blueprints (preferred).
- Prior contract review experience in manufacturing (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid Class D Driver's License.
