Data Analyst (Remarketing, Risk & Compliance)
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – Monday to Wednesday in-office, Thursday & Friday remote)

The Data Analyst supports two key areas within Nissan Canada Finance: Risk & Compliance and Remarketing. This role involves extensive data analysis, reporting, and process improvement, requiring strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
Risk & Compliance:
- Generate weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly management reports.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to identify key business insights.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data findings.
- Support executive meetings and reporting (e.g., Risk Committee, Incident Committee).
- Lead quality assurance (QA) testing for the decision engine.
- Participate in data mapping, process improvement, and data architecture optimization through engagement in meetings and initiatives.
Remarketing:
- Audit auction charges and processes to ensure validity and accuracy.
- Validate that auctioned vehicles are properly presented.
- Diagnose and address system issues with Openlane, the primary auction vendor.
- Facilitate data mapping, process improvement, and data architecture enhancements through active engagement in meetings and initiatives.
- Communicate with Openlane to resolve system issues efficiently and ensure data feeds (NCF, Canadian Black Book) are properly transmitted.
- Work with auction houses to maximize dealer participation across platforms.
- Train dealers on RPM functionality and provide ongoing updates.
- Oversee auction buybacks and audit arbitrations to ensure cases are properly handled.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, process improvement, report automation, or a related field, OR a minimum of 3 years of experience with an auction or captive finance company.
- Strong understanding of remarketing processes, including vehicle inspections, auction reconditioning, and digital auctions.
- Ability to conduct advanced data modeling to extract meaningful insights.
- Adaptability to learn new tools and integrate them into daily operations.
- Ability to multitask and manage numerous requests from various stakeholders.
Skills & Competencies
- Interpersonal Skills: Frequent interactions with dealers, auctions, and colleagues require strong collaboration and customer service orientation.
- Problem-Solving & Complexity: Must be familiar with digital marketing and operational issues as ADESA transitions all auctions to digital platforms.
- Physical & Sensory Demands: Primarily involves telephone calls, email communication, and computer-based work.
- Decision-Making & Impact: Strong process analysis skills with a focus on optimizing results and continuous improvement.
