Custom Mug Printer Operator
Taylor, MI
Seasonal position with opportunity for Long-term
$20-$22/hr. (Based on experience)
Monday- Friday
8am-5:00pm
What You'll Do:
- Operate and maintain industrial mug printing machines (sublimation, digital, or heat press) safely and efficiently.
- Set up and calibrate temperature, pressure, and timing for each job to ensure consistent, high-quality results.
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance to reduce downtime, while troubleshooting mechanical, ink, and software issues as needed.
- Prepare artwork and layouts for accurate printing, apply color theory and matching principles (CMYK, Pantone), and inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Manage inventory of materials, assist fulfillment with packing and restocking, and contribute to workflow improvements.
- Use design and production software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW) for basic file setup, and maintain accurate production and tracking records..
- Experienced (1–2 years) in custom or sublimation printing with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on machine skills.
- Technically proficient with industrial mug printing equipment and computer systems, with an eye for color accuracy and detail.
- Capable of working independently, meeting deadlines, and maintaining quality in a fast-paced production environment.
- Skilled in basic mechanical maintenance, design software, and efficient workflow management. Preferred:
- Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDRAW).
- Prior experience in small-scale manufacturing or custom merchandise production.
- Experience with automated or computer-controlled press systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with heat equipment
